Adding and Managing Team Members
Invite, edit, and manage your team — roles, profiles, and what each member can do.
Manage your team
Build and manage your team from one place. Owners can invite people, assign the right role, update profile details, and remove someone from the company when needed.
Team management is available to Owners only. Owners can open the Team page at /team/. Managers and Techs cannot access the Team page.
The Team page
Use the Team page at /team/ to see everyone in your company and manage their access. Each row shows one team member and gives you quick actions for updating or removing them.
The table includes five columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The team member's full name |
| The team member's email address | |
| Role | A badge showing Owner, Manager, or Tech |
| Active Jobs | A colored status dot and a count showing how many active jobs that person has |
| Actions | Edit and Remove actions for that member |
The Active Jobs column helps you see workload at a glance. The colored dot shows whether the member currently has active work, and the count shows how many active jobs are assigned to them.
Inviting a team member
Add new people from the Team page. You choose their role during the invite, and NoSavvy handles the rest.
Open the Team page
Go to /team/ and click Add Team Member.
Enter their name and email
Enter the person's full name and email address. Both fields are required.
Choose a role
Select one of the role cards. Tech is selected by default.
- Tech — Field technician. Can view assigned jobs and complete checklists.
- Manager — Can create jobs, manage clients, and view reports. Cannot edit company settings.
- Owner — Full access to everything, including team management.
Send the invitation
Click Send Invitation. A success message appears, then you return to the Team page.
What happens next depends on whether the email already belongs to a NoSavvy account. If the person is new to NoSavvy, an account is created and they receive an invitation email with a link to set their password. That link stays valid for 24 hours.
If the person already has a NoSavvy account through another company, they receive a notification that they have been added to your company. They can sign in and switch to your company right away.
Owners can assign any role: Tech, Manager, or Owner. Only an Owner can promote someone to Owner.
Editing a team member
Update a team member when their contact details, notes, or responsibilities change. You can also change their role from the edit screen.
Open the member record
On the Team page, click Edit next to the person you want to update.
Update their details
Change any of these fields as needed:
- Full Name
- Phone Number
- Bio or Notes
- Role
Confirm email changes
If you change the email address, NoSavvy starts a two-step confirmation process.
- A confirmation email goes to the new address.
- The confirmation link stays valid for 24 hours.
- A separate notification goes to the old address.
- The email does not change until the person confirms it from the new address.
Save changes
Click Save Changes to apply the update.
If you try to edit your own team member record, NoSavvy sends you to /my-profile/ instead. Your own email and role are managed through your profile and Owner permissions.
Removing a member
Remove someone from your company from the Team page. Click Remove next to their name, then confirm the dialog to finish the action.
Removing a member only removes their access to your company. The person keeps their NoSavvy account and any memberships they have in other companies.
You cannot remove yourself. The Remove button does not appear next to your own name, and self-removal is blocked.
My Profile
Every user can manage their own profile at /my-profile/. This page is for personal details, not team-level permission changes.
Users can:
- Upload an avatar in JPG or PNG format
- Use an image up to 2 MB
- Update their name
- Update their phone number
- Update their bio or notes
If no avatar is uploaded, NoSavvy shows the person's initials instead.
Email and role are read-only on My Profile. An Owner must change a team member's role, and email changes are controlled from the team management flow.
Use these pages next if you need to assign work or review role access.
