How to Add a Client

Create client profiles with business details, contact info, and service location — from the Clients page or inline from a job.

Adding a client

Create a client profile that your team can use across jobs, scheduling, and client history. Each client record stores the business name, contact details, service location, and internal notes in one place. Once saved, the client becomes available when you create and manage jobs.

Prerequisites

You need permission to create clients. Owners and Managers can create clients. Techs cannot create or view client records.

Adding a client from the Clients page

Go to the Clients page

Open Clients from the main navigation. The Clients page shows all clients for your company, sorted alphabetically, so you can quickly confirm whether the client already exists before adding a new one.

Click Add Client

Click Add Client to open the client creation form. Use this form when you want to create a full client record before building a job around it.

Enter the business name

Add the client's business name. NoSavvy uses this name throughout the platform to identify the client in lists, jobs, scheduling views, and client records.

This field is required. After you save, the business name becomes the main label you see on the client detail page and in client selections.

Enter the primary contact name

Add the name of the main person you communicate with at the client's business. This helps your team know who to contact when questions come up about scheduling, access, or service details.

This field is required.

Add email and phone

Enter the client's email address and phone number. Both fields are optional, but adding them now gives your team the contact information they need without having to track it down later.

The phone field has a 14-character limit and formats the number as you type. If you leave either field blank, NoSavvy saves the client without it.

Enter the service location

Add the street address, city, state, and zip code for the service location. Select the state from the full list of 50 states, and enter a zip code with up to 5 digits.

NoSavvy combines these fields into a single service location for the client record. Your team can then use that address when viewing jobs and navigating from scheduling and job details.

Add client notes

Use Client Notes for operational details your team needs on the job, such as alarm codes, parking instructions, building access details, or special on-site rules.

This field is optional. Add only information your team needs to do the work consistently and arrive prepared.

Click Save

Click Save to create the client. A success message appears, and NoSavvy redirects you to the client's detail page.

When the save is complete, the new client record is active and ready to use in jobs.

Creating a client from the job form

You can also create a client without leaving the job creation form. Click + New Client next to the client dropdown to open a quick-create window with the same fields.

Use inline client creation when you are already building a job and realize the client does not exist yet. The quick-create window includes the business name, primary contact, email, phone, service location, and notes, so you can finish the client record without interrupting your workflow.

After you save, NoSavvy adds the new client directly to the job form's client dropdown and selects it for you automatically. The page does not reload, so you can continue filling out the job form immediately.

On the inline form, the street address is required. On the full Add Client page, the service location fields are optional.

Client notes are visible to your whole team on the job detail page. Use notes for operational details like gate codes, parking instructions, and access information so everyone has what they need before they arrive.

Where to go next

After you create a client, you can edit the client if details change or review client history to see past work and related activity.
