Creating and Scheduling Your First Job
Create your first job in NoSavvy — assign team members, set the schedule, configure recurring work, and learn how to use the schedule board.
Creating and scheduling your first job
Jobs are the individual work assignments your team completes for clients. Each job has a title, client, assigned team members, date, time, and duration. You can also set up recurring jobs for ongoing work.
Prerequisites
Sign in as an Owner or Manager before you create a job. You should also have at least one client and one team member added to your company. Techs cannot create jobs.
Creating a job
Go to the Jobs page
From the Triage dashboard, open the Jobs page. This is where you can view and manage all your jobs.
Click Create Job
Select Create Job to open the job form.
Enter a job title and description
Add a Job Title first. The title is required and helps your team quickly identify the work.
Add a Job Description if you want to include scope details or extra context for the team. The description is optional.
Select a client
Choose the client for this job from the client dropdown.
If the client is not in the list yet, click + New Client to add one without leaving the form.
Assign team members
Select one or more people from your company to work on the job.
Hold Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac to select multiple team members. The list shows each person's name and role.
Set the date and time
Pick the job date. Then choose a start time if you want to schedule the visit at a specific time.
Time is optional. When you set a time, choose from 15-minute intervals.
Choose a duration
Select how long the job should take. Options range from 30 minutes to Full Day.
Duration helps you plan the day and makes the job easier to place on the schedule board.
Add notes
Use Notes for details your team needs on site, such as gate codes, parking instructions, or special access information.
Notes are optional, but they help your team arrive prepared.
Click Save
Click Save to create the job.
After the form submits, you will see a success message and be taken to the job details page. New jobs start with a Scheduled status unless you choose a different status in the form.
Setting up recurring jobs
If the job repeats on a regular schedule, set it up as a recurring job instead of creating each visit manually.
Turn on recurring settings
On the job form, check Make this a recurring job. This shows the recurring options.
Choose a frequency
Select how often the job should repeat: Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly.
Select days of the week when needed
If you choose Weekly or Bi-Weekly, select the days of the week when the job should repeat.
Use the date as the first job
The date on the form is the first scheduled job.
NoSavvy automatically generates future jobs based on the recurring schedule you set.
Job statuses
Jobs move through a simple status lifecycle as the work gets scheduled, confirmed, completed, and closed.
- Scheduled — The job is created and on the calendar.
- Ready — The job is confirmed and ready for the visit.
- In Progress — Your crew is on site or actively working.
- Completed — The work is finished.
- Archived — The job is hidden from active views.
Using the schedule board
The schedule board gives you a visual view of jobs by team member. You can drag and drop job cards between staff columns to reassign work, or drag a job to the queue to remove its assignment. This is especially useful when you need to make same-day schedule changes.
